Brand, bottles, and a website
for a Swiss winery
Salathé Vins makes award-winning wines in small quantities in La Côte, on Lake Geneva, sold by reservation and poured in some of Switzerland's best restaurants. I designed the brand and packaging in 2020, and returned in 2026 to redesign the website.
Brief
Salathé Vins doesn't sell through shops. Each wine is a limited run; when a collection is ready, a short reservation window opens, existing customers get first access, and the wines go to those who moved quickly. The brand had to carry that way of selling: quiet, confident, and worth the wait.
Brand and packaging
The identity and labels came first, in 2020. The aesthetic is deliberately traditional, closer to a long-established house than a new label, with nothing trend-led to date it; the aim was timeless rather than current. These bottles never sit on a shop shelf; they're encountered on restaurant tables and in twice-yearly reservation emails, and the design was made for those two settings rather than for shouting in a lineup.
Website
Six years later I came back to redesign the website. The site is built around the reservation rhythm rather than a shop: the wines, the restaurants that pour them, a journal, and a simple way to join the list before the next window opens. I also handled sourcing the 3D renders of the bottles used across the site, so every wine is shown consistently without a photo shoot per release. It's live at salathe.com.
We worked with Jason on everything from label design to our website, and he understood immediately what makes our product distinctive. He translated that into a timeless identity with real elegance and craft, exactly the quality we wanted our brand to convey.”
